Customs and quarantine processes
Australia has a strict Quarantine Inspection Service to ensure that the country remains free from the many pests and crop diseases that are found in other countries. The mandatory service costs approximately AUD$16.50 to AUD$22.00 per cubic metre with a minimum AUD$88.00 charge. These charges do not include fumigation and steam cleaning if deemed necessary.
